Net
working programme for the children’s home of Mumbai Zone through Uddan
Welfare foundation.
Udaan welfare foundation with
its third year of success for organizing two days camp, came up this year
2009 with the theme “path to excellence” for children of 10th,
11th and 12th standard of 10 different institute that belonged
to Helpers of Mary congregation. The numbers of participants were 200
children.
The theme was carefully chosen
to make the children aware of internal excellence in terms of their
inherent qualities, strengths, positivity as well as factor which cause
fear shyness and anger control, At the same time there were young and
adult achievers who shared their experiential learning on external
excellence, teaching them to dream, having vision inspire and motivate to
learn and to set goals that are achievable
The resource personals were
experts who simplified the whole idea of path to excellence into
sub-topics such as at and expression where the child discovers knowledge
of one self, emotional management, gains confidence and becomes very
creative. This is a process of internal excellence where as external
excellence speaks of winning, focus, discipline strategy and passion.
The children were given inputs
to realize the power within, which will help them to create abundance in
life abolishing negative childhood traits, harmonizing and empowering ones
mind. The two days of camp for these children was an awesome experience, there was lots of learning sharing interaction and exposure to the inner world of one self. Children’s
day celebration on 14th of h November was an
electrifying experience for the 330 children of Ma Niketan. It was
transformed in to a fun zone on that Friday morning. Every child is living
message of God’s love. We hold the girl child in special esteem and want
to do the best towards their empowerment. And same day a special event organized at Ma Niketan on 14 th of 2009, with the theme Learn with nature to make the kids aware and alert of their responsibility towards Mother Earth. It is awareness at all levels that will help to improve the situation. It has highlighted the need to not just plant saplings but make them survive and grow. This sent across an earnest request to the residents of this city, to go green in their own way and at this particular event, some saplings were planted by the girls, endeavoring to make sure they grow into trees, spread lush greenery and stop global warming.
Drawing
competition To showcase their talent we had organized a drawing competition on 27 of December 2009, with a theme to encourage the thinking power of children. They were given a poem to read and understand after which, they were asked to draw what they visualized from the poem. Their work was exemplary and highly appreciated by the judges.
